"...take this soul and make it sing"

Today is the 3rd of December which marks the 9th month we have left the "church". I am sitting here at my favorite joint, Goldenfinger, reflecting on these past months. Again it amazes me to see how much Gods grace has been on us! In the moments I don't think I fully recognized it. We knew we were doing the right thing and going with what we believed to be God spirit prompting us but it's just awesome how He truly provides when you stand up for His word and make a stand! The thoughts have crepe up that we are still here and it's not where we want to be. But then I look around and see the people that God has put in our lives and wonder if they are the reasons we came here. What if he used this "church plant" to get us here to be an encouragement to the ones that are in the same place we are. What if we were sent here to be the ones to speak up and be the "controversial" ones. To say what is in all of our hearts. To say what they want to say.

I was eating lunch with some friends the other day and they asked me "when are you going to start a church?" my response was quick but I think correct. My response was it's not about Joel Sewell starting HIS ministry, it's about Gods spirit speaking to a community of believers as they gathering together, fallowing His teachings. Where all believers are moving in their gifts not just one man or a select few. A people that give to the needs of the world and all needs are met among the believers the way they were in Acts. Where the Word is dissected to know truth not to prove a point that benefits the staff.
