So from friends of mine had a "video conference/coffee" on skype this morning (those crazy high tech people). Well there discussion was about Man's role in the sanctification process. Well I thought this was neat seeing how i have been studying this on my own the past couple weeks. Here is a quote i read that i think sums it up pretty well

"God's working in us is not suspended because we work,

nor our working suspended because God works...
the relation is that because God works we work."

So because the triGod (father, son, and the Holy Spirit) brings us to him (Eph. 1:4) we are able to imitate Christ, like we are told to do in John 13 and Phil 2. and a lot of other places. We could go in so many diffrent directions but i will digress for now cause i have to get to work in 20 min. and i'm not dresed yet.

Music Monday!

yes, something new i am trying to help get me blogging more regularly. On mondays i will post something about music that i am listing too. or just something that has to do with music.

Being that tomorrow my favorite band is coming out with there new album I'll start with them. U2. I have been a true fan since 01. I have every studio album and most their live albums. "Where the Streets Have No Name" is probably my favorite song. After we had our first child, Rhema, I went home after a week of being in the hospital with her(Val stayed at the hospital with Rhema) to change and shower. On my way home that song came played on my ipod. All I could think of was "wow, that where my daughter is going to be. Feeling the 'sunlight' (Gods glory) on her face, seeing that dust cloud (her deformities, Trisomy 13) disappear without a trace...." Oh, how I miss holding her in my arms, close to my chest. Letting her feel my chest rise hoping that it reminds her to breathe.

In no way did I intend this post to be about Rhema. I just paused and weeped over her for the first time in a while. I guess it needed to come out...anyways here is a video of u2.

irresistible grace

So I am doing some studying about irresistible grace. Trying to take it verse by verse. so this is the verse that I am pondering lately... any thoughts? John 6:65 “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by the Father.” those are the words Jesus.

well...I'm back. after a long hiatus I think its time to start up the blogging thing.
